By Typhoon5fANIt.A, Oct. 2 (UP) — APacific typhoon, with 305 mile an hour winds buffeted southern Luzon and Manila today alter cutting a destructive path through Samar and southeastern L\tzon.Accompanied by howling winds typhoon Trix drenched Manila all last night and this morning as it continued its west-northwest course. Trix was located 120 miles southeast of Manila at 2 a.m. today moving at nine miles an hour. At 2 p.m. today it was expected to be 30 miles south of Manila and at 2 a.m. Thursday it will be 110 miles west of Manila in the China sea.DAMAGE TO public and private property including crops and fish corrals was reported to be heavy In Leyte, Samar, and the Bicol peninsula (southeastern Luzon.)Only one possible death has been reported so far—a fisherman was reported missing in Borongan, Samar,Transportation and communication facilities in hard-hit areas were reported disrupted.LOCAL AIRLINE flights were suspended but expected to resume later toda}r.The weather bureau warned inhabitants of areas in Trix' path to take all precautions against floods, very high seas, and very strong winds. The warning was directed to central and southern Luzon, Mindoroand northwestern Visayas.
