“Gunshot wounds inflicted by a weapon in the kibda of Donald Twoey Jr.” was returned by a cor~ one's jury last night as the ofiicial cause of the death Sunday of George Twoey, Clearfield resident. The older Twoey died in the Philipsburg Hospital of wounds to his thigh allegedly inflicted by his nephew, Donald Twoey de, Weat Decatur RD, dur in a family quarrel Monday night. The inquest was conducted by Centre County Coroner Charles Sheckler, of Milesburg, in the Philipsburg Borough Building. Although Tweey suffered the wounds resulting in his death in Clearfield County, Sheckler con ducted the inquest since his death took place in Centre County. The jury selected by Sheckler consisted of six Phil ipscure residents. Although the defendant was present at the inquest, he did not testify, having been warned that any statements might be held against him. He was not represented by counsel. The only witnesses to take the Rlans were Sgt. James L. Stuck, of the Clearfield State Police, who placed the charge of murder against Tweey, and De. R. L. Williams, Clearfield County cor oner. Stuck described his investi gation at the James Tweey home in West Decatur, where the al loged quarrel took place and where Stuck and two other members of the local State, Potlee barracks arrested Donald (Please Turn to Page 3)
