Colonel Fife of Tacoma to Wed Wid ow of Former Comrade. ‘Tacoma, Wasa., Oct. 22.—The sequel of a romance of the Philippine war will take place at San Francisco next Friday, when Colonel William J. Fife of Tacoma will be married to Mrs. Mary C. Duboce, a widow of Lieutenant Colonel Duvoce of the First California regiment, Colonel Fife went to the Philippines three years ago as lieu ttenant colonel of the First Washing ton regiment. He there became a swarm friend of Colonel and Mrs. Du boce. Colonel Duboce died soon after the conclusion of the Spanish war. Later Colonel Fief spent some time in San Francisco and his friendship for Mrs. Duboce grew into a stronger attachment.
