The Late Capt. Denis O'Neil. This very worthy, much respected man—one of the good, old stosh, whose ranks are being thinned #0 much by the remorseless hand of death each succeeding year—passed away to rest last Tuesday. Capt. O'Neil was well and favorably known here as well as elsewhere in the col ony. He always bore the reputation of being a man of sterling worth. In his earlier years he had engaged in the seal fishery Capt. O'Neill's many friends unite in mourning the sons of a good man and true. The Standard extends its sympathy to Mrs. O'Neil and the family bereaved. The funeral, on Thursday morning was respectably attended. Thus pass the old, loved folk, one after th other, into the silent land beyond. H.G. Stmidard:
