BIGGER8—James A. Biggers was born in Ma-son county, Ky., in 1836. Died October 19th, 3SS6. Age forty-eight years, five months and nineteen days.He was reared by religions parents of the Baptist denomination. He was kept in a religions course by (be admonition and earnest prayers of a faithful mother. He was somewhat waywardin youth, bnt when he became a man he was converted and joined the Christian church, of which bis wife, of a former marriage, was • member He lived a consistent Christian in that church for several years, then changed to the Baptist church, whtre he remained a constant and faithful member mtil the last few years of his life. Ihen surrounding circumstances prevent him from attaching himself to any society, yet he continued steadfast in his Christian integrity, enjoying the privilege of meeting with Christian people of any denomination be chanced to meet, uever neglecting to attend church while his health permitted. We believe he passed away with a full assurance of a bright immortality. He was a sufferer for months, but the last few days his sufferings were extreme, yet he bore it all with a patient resignation and peacefully closed his eyes to all earthly scenes to awake In the spirit land He leaves a wife and one child, a little son, and many friends to mourn their log-*.
