Ralph Bunche Hornets And Dunbar Panthers Clash To TieThe Ralp li Bunche Hornets drew Saturday night with the Dunbat Panthers of Dickerson, Texas 8-8 in a game full of Hornets mistakes.The Panther’s scored first on an attempted punt return by William Tarver who was trapped in the end zone leaving the score 2-U Panthers at tiie half.In the third quarter another punt felt out of the hand of Puniest Davis and recovered by the Panthers on the Hornets 8 yard line. From here fullback Clovis Green punched it in on ? tries. The Hornets scored the next time they got the ball on a pass from quarterback Karnest Davis to lel't end Robert Kelley from 15 yards out.The extra point try was good on a Davis pass to right halfback Johnathan Jackson but the Hornets were set back 15 yards for holding. From here another pass try failed and the Hornets still trailed 8-0 going into the last quarter.The last quarter was all Hornets as far as playing was concerned, getting inside three times : were put back because of violations on one occasion.
