Raynal Jr., spoke to Statesville Kiwanians at their weekly meeting last night, telling of the work of the United War Fund as based on his observations in the Pacific theater of war.A. W. Fanjoy, general chairman of the War Fund for North Iredell, was program chairman of the evening. Rev. J. Lewis Thornburg also spoke briefly for the War Fund and C. E. Other members are Flake Sherrill, Tom Gilliam and W. W. Winters.Winters, as president, presided last night.
