ObituaryFuneral services were held Wednesday afternoon in the Methodist church for Mrs. Fred Marlett who passed away Oct. 11 at the hospital in Alton. Rev. W. A. Taylor of Denver officiated at the service. Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Zinn sang, “Nearer My God to Thee” and “Beautiful Isle.” accompanied on the piano by Mrs. W. E. Simmons. Casket bearers were ; George McClintock, William Ramp-ley, C. L. Guthrie, S. E. Neill, E. L. Charpentier and A. W. Hart. Interment was in West Point cemetery.Emma Richey was bom Nov. 15, 1858 near Denver. On June 10, 1891 she was united in marriage with Fred Marlett. One son, Alfred Franklin died in 1893. Besides the husband the following children survive, Milo J. of Ursa, Thomas Edmond of Keokuk, Miriam Croxton of Macomb, also nine grandchildren, one brother, James Richey of Wrest Point, two sisters, Rose Cadwallader of Macomb and Mary of Oakland, Calif.
