Ira G. Yates and the San Angelo National bank have purchased $23, 000 worth of the Trion County road ‘bonds at par, and this money will ‘be used at once to acquire the right= Jet-way for the last gap on Highway 67 between Presidio and Dallas. ‘The Trion County bond issue cal led the first of the year was for $50,000. Of this sum $40,000 is to be used for the acquiring of right of way and fencing and $10,000 is to be used for special work on lateral roads. Highway No. 07, stated), runs from Texarkana, in east Texas, via Dallas and San Angelo to Presigio, passing through Alpine, and is rec gnized as one of the very impact ant trade arteries of Texas From Texarkana, the U. S. Highway 67 extends at present as far north as Rock Island, TL, and it is expected that in the not distant future Mex co will extend its end of the road from Ojinaga, across from Presidio, to the Pacific coast at Topolo bampo.
