LOWERING DEVICEThe above illustration shows the newest thingjlinfithefline^of funera equipment, and i' the property of F. R. McFnil, funeral director of the Delphi V ndertaking Co. It is known as a casket lowering device and doe away with the work of the pall bearers in lowering the casket into th grave. This in w device is placed over the grave sun 11s eui lains conceal the grave culm ly. The casket is brought from the funeral car and placed in position v.u o r the canopy shown in the illustration. At the proper time the funeral director touches the brake and the casket is lowered by silent and invisible means into the grave. The use of the lowering device is new in this port of the country. There are several different designsand patterns on the market, but the others are so complicated that they are not considere i absolutely safe Mr. McFail has made a very careful investigation of them all and selected the very latest improved device, one that is absolutely safe and offers no chance whatever for an accident.
