Forty-seven animals were sold in two sales. The grand champion steer owned by Steve Ruebush was bought by Deming Cattle Sales, which paid 71 cents a pound, totaling $633.32 for the animal. The grand champion pig, sold by Paul Castle, went to Dem ing Federal Savings and Loan Association at $2.50 per pound for a total of $475.00 The General Agency purchas ed the grand champion lamb from Lutricia Brdecky for $368 or $4.60 per pound. The reserve champion steer belonging to Paul Speir brought 63 1/2 cents a pound for $721.41 from Las Cruces Production Credit Corp. Carter Kirk, broker, paid $3.90 a pound, $312.00 for David Brdecke's Teserve champion lamb, Stan ley Ruebush of Slate Farm Insurance Co, bought the Teserve champion pic sold by dackle Castle for $333.00 ($1.80 a pound).
