Now that the anxietiesof competition are.over, Mrs.'Talmage can relax and enjoyher stay in Japan. ’.- * . * *“I was here two years agoand I really loved it,” said the pretty. diver, “But I’m afraid that I find Tokyo prices too high for my pocketbook. I do most of my shopping out ■■ at Tachikawa (an Air Force base town just outside of Tokyo.)”Mrs. Talmage commented onthe fact that' divers were generally older than American swimmers. “It takes lpnger for a diver to mature. In diving there is a great deal of subjective judging involved,” she said,4Mrs: Talmage, whose husband is' a businessman, misses her family very much. “I love Japan, but I admit I’m homesick for my husband and myparentrf,” she aaid.
