A TALE WITH REV. THOMAS HOOPER. On Sunday Rev. Thomas Hooper closed his ministry at Camberwell Green Congrega tional Church ; on Tuesday night he left London for the North; and on Sunday he will open his pastorate at Albion Chapel, Ashton-under-Lyne. Thus might be haldly chronicled a series of events which are fraught with deep significance to two great churches and to some thousands of people, both in South London and East Lancashire. There is often an element of tragedy in ministerial removals—a single line in the ‘‘call”’ list of our ‘‘Weekly Church Record ” has, I have often been told, sent a thrill of anguish through many a devoted deacon and loyal church member.
