Monday:—The memorial services held at the Opera House, Sunday afternoon in honor of Geo. P. Metcalf were largely attended. Kev. Early of Columbia delivered the oration in which he feelingly outlined the life-workof the deceased The funeral of Rev.C. C. West, the veteran Methodist preacher, took place this afternoon. He died last Friday of physical weakness induced by old age. Father West was and old land-mark in Elyria for many years, and probably pronounced the marriage ceremony on more people than any other man in Lorain county.
