From the Flesherton Advance. The East Grey and Artemesia Agricul tural Society's Union Fall Exhibition held on the grounds of the former Society, in Flesherton, was quite a success. The weather on Thursday was all that could be desired ; and although on Friday morning assumed a threatening aspect, it rained but little until late in the evening. On Friday there could not have been less than three thousand strangers in the village. $214 were taken at the gate, the admission fee charged being 10 cents to non-members while members, of course, were admitted free. In the outside and inside shows, every department was well represented. Great credit is due to the energetic Secre tary, Mr. S. Damude, and to the President Mr. T. Kells, who were unceasing in their exertions to have everything systematical ly arranged. In horses, the exhibit was good; in cattle, fair; in sheep there was the usual sharp competition between Mr. W. Fawcet, of Euphrasia, and Mr. E. Shaw, of Colling wood Tp. The swine department was fairly represented. The poultry exhibit was good. In grains the exhibit was splendid, while the display of room vege tables, c, was ahead of anything we have seen this year. In agricultural implements the exhibit, per Mr. Wim. Strain, agent Flesherton, was fine. Mr. Geo. Cruick sheuk, of Heathcote, showed a good serviceable democrat waggon. Mr. Stinson of Griersville, slowed a good lumber Wargon. In the inside show, the display of ladies’ Work was really magnificent. Want of space prevents special mention, but we refer our readers to the prize list. After the Show, the officers, directors, members and friends repaired to Elder's Hotel for dinner, where they did ample justice to the sumptuous repast prepared by mine host Elder. Among those present, we observed the genial Reeve of Colling wood Township, Mr. N. McColman; Dr. Sproule, M. P. of Markdale; Mr. R. Ruth ven, Clarksburg; Dr. McGreggor, Chats worth; Mr. Guy, President of Osprey Ag ricultural Society; Mr. R. H. Stinson, Griesville; and many other gentlemen living in townships adjacent to this. After dinner, Mr.T. Kells was appointed chair man, and Dr. McGreggor, Vice. The us ual loyal toasts were drank, and some very interesting speeches given. Below we give the PRIZE LIST. HORSES.
