[Frotn this morning^ournal.]FROM NICARAGUA.New Yoke Oct. 18.The steamer Texas has arrived at Noifolk with later dates from Nicaragua.• Walker’s troops had evacuaBd Mossaic and were concentrating at Greraua, upon which city his armies were advancing, killing many of his men by the wayside.A decisive battle was expected on the 2*2d of October. The enemy had two thousand troops, and were expecting a reinforcement of nine hundred to one thousand more. Walker was receiving reinforcements, numbers from the States and California.The attack upon San Jacinto by the troops under Byron Cole, appears to be a more ^por tant affair than at first supposed. There were twelve killed, including Col. Cole, Lieutenants Reed and Hutchins, and ten wounded, including six officers; three are missiog. The loss of the enemy is said to be very severe. Lieut. Jennings Estelle, formerly Marshal of Tennessee, was shot at Grenada oa the 19 h of September, for the murder ia the guard-house, of Lieut. Chas. Gordon.Gen. Walker had revoked the decrees abolishing slavery in Grenada.Major Hess had been dispatched by Walker to exchange with the United States the ratification treaty confirmed by the Senate at Washington.Philadelphia, Oct. 18
