Visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Carr, was Miss Mary Kay Carr. Miss Carr, is a student at the University of Texas in Austin. Mrs. Maxima P. Flores, Mrs. Pedro Cardenas Jr. and Pedro Cardenas Sr. have returned from San Antonio, accompanied by Mr. Cardenas’ daughter, Mrs. Isaias Calderon of that city, Mrs. Flores and Mrs Carde nas Jr. attended the Birthday Ball held in honor of Miss Mary Jane Cardenas in San Antonio to celebrate her fifteenth birth day. Miss Cardenas is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raul Cardenas, who were residents here until a few years ago. Mrs. Calderon will be the guest of her father for the next few days. Guests of the Malcolm Kellers in La Pryor for a brief visit Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Johnny McGee and family. Visiting with Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Green in Pettus over the weekend were their daughter, Mrs. Marvin L. Gardner and children of Crystal City, “EVERYTHING We Sell, We Service, Krakow Refrigeration Air Conditioning. the Guests in the Adair Baskin home during the past few days were Mrs. Baskin’s mother and sister, Mrs. J. C. Bizzell and Mrs. Ray Ambler of Uvalde. A guest of her aunt, Mrs. J. Brown Key, is Mrs. Thomas Haley of St. Louis, Mo. Mrs. Haley will enjoy an extended visit here with her aunt, who is the new manager of the Cross S Hotel. Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Mullins of Barksdale were here this week visiting with friends. They were houseguests of Miss Ruth Adams and her mother, Mr. Mullins is a former pastor of the Church of Christ here. We are wishing young David Baskin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Adair Baskin, a very happy birthday. He will celebrate his fourth this coming Sunday, Oc tober 21, in the home of his grandmother, Mrs. J. C. Bizzell, in Uvalde. Mrs. Maxima P. Flo res has returned from Uvalde, where she was called due to the illness of her niece, Miss Dolores Hernandez. Mrs. Flores’ daughter, Miss Ofelia Flores, is presently visiting with Miss Hernandez who is convalescing after a short stay in the hos pital in Uvalde.
