Pfc. Charles W. Boggs, former student in the Fairfield schools, was killed in Korea on September 27, his father, Sam Boggs, Anderson Pike, Fayette County, was informed last week.Pfe. Boggs attended the school at Buena Vista and later at Leesburg when the family lived in the Olive Chapel neighborhood. He enlisted in the army October 16, 1949.While in Korea, he had met and been with his brother, Sam.Sam, 21, has been in the army about two years and was in Tokyo when Korea was invaded by the Reds from the north.The other brother, Cpl. Robert Boggs, 27, is a veteran of the last war and is now stationed in New Jersey.Boggs has one other brother, 14-year old Howard who is still at home. Two sisters, Mrs. Donna Schaeffer and Mrs. Elsie Sanderson, both of Fayette County.Mrs. Boggs has been dead for [a number of years and Mr. Boggs has had to be both mother andP M| father to his four sons and two! tl* daughters. ,He said: “I’m going to bring my boy back and bury him in j our afmily lot in the White Oak', Cemetery as soon as I can.” I
