Bernard Griffin, back in London from a tour to study conditions in Europe, issued at a crowded meeting here an urgent appeal for foodGermans and prayer* fortill conversion of Russia. There is pallor andlassitude among the people ind*Berlin. I noticed it as I drove by in a car. The people made no effort to get out of our way. The saddest sights are- those of undernourished children. AMG is doing all it can.” *Violation of WomanArchbishop Griffin described the “horrible facts” of violation of women and looting by the Russians. In * Vienna 100,000 women have been violated, notonce but many times, includinggirls not yet in their teens and the aged.Dr. Griffin met all Bishops in the British sone and led them in prayers for food and for Russia’s conversion.
