On Saturday at 1:15 Miss Marie Braskamp. entertained her birthday club at luncheon, Miss Beth Pitts entertained the library book committee, including Mesdames M. C. Mui renburg, E. S. Kiernan and ¢. J. De Munck, at dinner Thurs day evening at the Kazy Korn er cafe, after which the four selected books for the library and later played bridge at the De Munck home. Tony Schumacher and his mother, Mrs. Nic. Schumacher, entertained Don Wittgen, Bob Miller and Jim Bowers at dine ner Monday evening, compli menting Donny and Bob who left Wednesday for Des Moines where they will be assigned to a Naval training school. Mrs. E. A. Dumond of Buf falo, N. Y., who was in nur ses' training with Louise ‘and Rose Lied at Council Bluff 30 years ago, spent several days here with the first of the sisters, Mrs. F. D.D. Allen, and left Tuesday for El Paso to vis it Rose, now Mrs. J. P. Borges.
