NAMES OF LIBERTY BONDSLACKERS TO BE PUBLISHEDThe County Council of Defense has informed The Independent that it has prepared a list of names of those ; persons in the county who are fail-| ing and refusing to purchase Liberty i Bonds and who are not supporting the Government and the boys at tTe ; front, as they can afford to do without any hurt to themselves. These | names are to be published, and the Council says it will continue to publish names until the full quota oT Liberty Bonds in Dubois county has been subscribed. This quota is at present about $60,000 short, and the public can place the failure of these people to support the government at this time according to their judg-mentf. In each case the individual has made a statement of his property values under oath, and in many cases these values are no higher than those placed thereon by the township assessors for the purpose of taxation. The county council of defense has been in session at Jasper almost every day this week. They have succeeded in selling several thousand dollars worth of bonds. The council is having the county sheritf call a number of men and women before it each day, and these are asked to ;n-crease their subscriptions. If the persons called refuse to subscribe for more bonds, their reasons for refusing are taken down by the official court reporter to be transcribed in duplicate—one copy for the government and one for the historical com mittee which is to write the history of Dubois county in the present war.1]]
