JUSTICE; REIGNS.The famous tight on the Color question in the Felicity Schools has a new development. It will be remembered that last year the School Board attempted to prevent the attendance of Colored children in the same room with the white children, and when mandam-used to compel the admission of Colored children, closed the school on the pretense that there were no funds to pay the teachers- Prof. A. G. Hubbard, a Colored teacher, brought suit against President Thomas Hurdle and the other members of the School Board, for the balance of his 5alary. The case was hotly contested in the Common Pleas Court, at Batavia, before Judge Davis and a jury, the well known lawyers Tounsley and Woodlief representing Hubbard the plaintiff, and Prosecutor Hicks, of Clermont County, file Board of Education. A great number of witnesses were heard, and the mass of tes- , timony developed in Court would almost puzzle a Philadelphia lawyer. After powerful arguments which introduced the many phases of the Color Question, in the Schools, in Socioty. and elsewhere, the case was given to the jury at six, P. M., last Thursday night, and about nine, P. M., a sealed verdict w as returned. At the opening of Court on Friday morning, it was found to be for the Plaintiff, Hubbard. The other teachers will now bring suit for their unpaid salaries.
