—J. Wes. Combs, the second son c Captain Combs, met •witli a severe acci dent at his father's furniture factory tc day, by which his hand was badly mar gled in a planing machine which he wa running. All the fingers of the ham were stripped to the bone, and the flcsl was terribly lacerated. The accident wa caused by a thoughtless boy who. med died with the governor of the engine thereby accelerating the speed of tin planer. Dr. Connett dressed Mr. Combs wounds.
