We*cb, Esq, moved as an amendment. that ibe convention do not noimna’e to day. whichbemg aocep'ed by Mr. Pai khurst. the question was put, and the motion Jost.Tbe convention then pioceeded to an in/oirnal ballot for a candidate, and on countmg tbe votes it appealed that J. W. BLidieeeived 18, J. B. Wa. terbuiy 3, Blank 1.IRA W, BIRD was then unanimously nominated as a candidate foi\the Assembly.J, T. ClaiV, J, B.
