A local cast of 34 will hold dress rehearsals tonight, preparing for a religious pageant to be staged in the high school auditorium tomor row and Thursday nights. The pageant, ‘“‘The Light Eter nal,’ includes three Biblical stor ies, Joseph and his brothers, Mos es and the Israelites, and the Na tivity. It is sponsored by the First Meth odist church, but the cast includes members of other Centralia con gregations. Curtain time will be 8:15 p.m on both nights. A cast of characters for the pageant follows: Grandfather, Harold Stedelin; John, Tommy Garrison; Judy, Al ice Banks; Reuben, Jack Daniel; Simeon, Roland Hepp; Levi, Cur tis Moses; Judah, Arno Smith; Jo seph, Dr. Charles S. Gillison; Benjamin, Frank Nichols; Pharaoh, M. C. Pinkstaff; Chief Steward, Gail Shook; court girls, Betty Nichols and Barbara Yount; guards, Duane Cripe and Ned Kell; Moses, John Beier, Aaron, Ray Ford; Miriam, Mrs. J. P. Cas tleman; Hannah, Mrs. Mary Ellen Mil ler; Nebulon, Waldo Powell, Jr., Rachel, Mrs R. E. Van Loon; Es ther, Mrs. Lyle Yount; Hamar, George Tolley; girl victim, Mrs. Jean Carvell; Mary, Mrs. Clyde Smith; Angel, Peggy Childress, Joseph, Clyde Smith; shepherds, Bert Smith, Frank Smith, Jr., and Roy Van Zandt, Wise men, Harold Brown, Russell Neathammer, and Walter Bailey; mother, Mrs. Wayne O'dell; father, Ike Williford. Mrs. Harold Brown is the musi cal director; Miss Levi Thomp son is choral director. Accompan iest will be Rebecca Patchin, and Frances Jean Carvell will be the Ave Maria soloist.
