The record for the fastest manufacture of clothes was established during the filming of “The Midshipman,,f the Metro- G old wy u-May-er photoplay of Naval Academy life by Carey Wilson, which will be seen at the Orpheum theater commencing today.No more than, twelve hours were consumed by the Jacob Reed Co. of Philadelphia, holders of the record, to measure, make and deliver the uniforms of ‘Ramon Novarro, star of “The Midshipman,” and seven other young actors who were sent from California to Annapolis.immediately upon their arrival at the Naval Academy, Director Christy Cabanne conducted the actors to the official tailor, who measured them for scholastic and full dress uniforms. The measurements were then dispatched by telegram and a special messenger was simultaneously sent to Philadelphia to await their completion.
