Married.Avery-Sbaeffer—At the residence of the bride’s father, corner of River and Fifth street, Tuesday evening, Oct. 16, 1900, Mr. Herbert D. Avery and Mias Mignon Shaeffer; Rev. W. J. Fisher, pastor of the Cumberland Presbyterian church, officiating.The ceremony was witnessed only by the closest friends, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold, the groom’s sister; Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Rathvon of Florence, and Miss Gertrude Stahl of Denver. The bride was given away by her father: Mr. Chas. D. Shaeffer acted as best man and Miss Stahl as bridesmaid. A Bumptuou* dinner was served. Mr. and Mrs. Avery, breaking the usual rule, remain in Canon instead of taking a trip at this time and will be at home to their friends at the Shaeffer residence, corner South Fifth and River.
