Czar of Pacific Coast Football DivorcedSan Francisco, Oct. 16.—(,/p)-Elma Atherton was granted a divorce today from Edwin Atherton, football czar for the Pacific (’oast conference on grounds ofextreme cruelty.Mrs. Atherton testified that herhusband beat her frequently and ust d intoxicants to excess.A property settlement, reached out of lt;mil, was approved, providing Atherton pay his wife $275 a month for her support and an additional $50 monthly for the care of their son, Edwin, Jr., 12.Atherton withdrew a crosscomplaint, also charging cruelty.
