Rose Winslow organizer and speaker for the Womans National Suffrage party, arrived in Tucson this morning from Phoenix to ad dress a street meeting here to melit at Congress street and Stone ave nue. She is working in the inter ests of a national suffrage amend ment to the comptitition in the northern part of the estate she has met with singular success At a meeting in Phoenix Saturday she drew a crowd of 1200 people, while a Democratic meeting held in competition with her drew but a scant 360. ‘The people of the meet are #0 big,” she said at her hotel today, “Chart Mave Burtte mi serving ae to the outcome of the campaign in the western states at least .It is out here that we find real progressive legislation—woman suf fra ze, commission government —in fact, all the most modern ideas in relation to the Welfare of the com munity and state. “The questions that I am asked by people in the crowds out there are very much more intelligent, and then a great deal more comprehen sive knowledge of the matter in hand than in any other part of the United States’ Miss Winslow will be here again October 27 -and- 2+ and -wtll speak at the Southern Arizona State Fair, as well as et @ large mass meeting Don't forget that we are experts in selsing—istigation.._,teblens 2nd. that our training end experience is at your service, The F Konstadt Co.—~Adv.
