On Tuesday miening the man entered the above named station about niae o’deck, and complained of having lost a black bag. While the officials were taking note of his case, bs commenced talking about the Whitechapel murders, and lt;ffered to cut off the sergeant's head, and other ram blirg ocnaecte. It will be remembered that several people have testified to seeing a man with a black bag m tbs legion of the murders, and who has not since been traced. The fact was at onoe remembered by the police, and the man was furthered questioned. In answer to the inquiry as to bis business, be said be studied for •ewe years for the medical profession bat gave it up for engineering, and that he had been stopping for some oight* in coffee*houses. His manner then became to strange that Dr Bond, dmdooal surgeon, was seat for to examine the man. The doctor subsequently gave it as his cpinion that the man was a very dangerous lunatic of homicidal tendency, and as his appeariuw somewhat tallied with that published of the man who was seen with the murdered woman, he was removed to Bow street. But before being taken thither photographs of his person were taken. He was also asked t) write his name, and it is stated the writing is somewhat similar to that of the letters received by the police and others. Be gave bis age as 67, but it is said he look* fully twenty years younger. The polioe are endeavouring to trace his antecedents and movements f r she past few weeks.
