Held September 29thOn Monday, September 2b, the Burleson County 4-H clubs, Caldwell, Deauville, Lyons, and Teals Prairie, held an Awards Program at the Caldwell Elementary School, i he programconsisted of opening ceiemonie.held by Ellen Haney, CahLxeJ 4-H Club, Welcome Ellen Hailey, Caldwell 4-H Club; Program, Doug Bryant, Lyons 1 11 Club; Basis ot Awards, Mrs. Bobbie Whelan, Home Demonstration Agent; Presentation otAwards, 4-11 Council; Presentation of Gold Star Award Winners, Mr. Joe Siptak; Farewell,Mr. James Engbrock; and refreshments, 1-11 girls.In order to be eligible to receive an award, members hadwto have record books of the program entered. The Gold Star Award is the highest award a 4-H girl and hoy can receive.Winners of the awards in the Achievement Division were Dennis Gaas, Lyons 4-H Club; Freddie Surovik, Caldwell 4-HClub; Samuel Pittman, Teals Prairie 4-H Club. Winners in the Agricultural Division were Clav Herrmann, Carl Herrman, Mike Straeener, and Charles Doonan, all members of theCaldwell 4-H Club.Winners in the Clothing Division were Arlene Feigenbaum, Beth Graves, Tina Trcalek, and Sharon Karasek, ail from the Caldwell 4-11 Club.Winners in the Swine Division were Ronnie Knesek, Danny Loehr, and Ronnie Hejl of the Caldwell 4-H Club; and Randal Gaas, Lyons 4-H Club.Winners in the Safety Division were Richard Marek, Caldwell 4-H Club; Mike Perry,Deanville 4-H Club; Tommy Coker, Caldwell 4-H Club and Rodney Varner, Caldwell 4-H Club.Winners in the Poultry Division were John Giesenschlag, Freddie Maass, and Terry Ju-nek, ail from the Caldwell 4-H Club.Winners in the Tractor Division were Jerry Gage, Caldwell 4-H Club.Winner in the Rabbit Division was Harvey Pittman, Teals Prairie 4-H Club.
