Havemann along with 56 other officer candidates, climaxed twenty-two weeks of intensive classroom and field instruction. During the rigid course, general military and leadership training emphasis on operation and maintenance of Signal Corps communications equipment, were stressed. Prior to OCS Lt Havemann was assigned at Camp Breckinridge, Kentucky,Born in Maywood, Lt Havemann was graduated from the University of Illinois, 1950. He entered Army service in August, 1951.Friday’s OCS graduating class of 57 is the sixteenth Fort Monmouth since Signal Corps officer training opened here in September, 1951. ha fifteen previous classes, 917 candidates were commissioned.
