THROAT CUTGeorge Davidson, a negro, and another negro named Luther, had a fight at the ('reek livery barn Saturday evening about 3 o’clock which resulted in the serious injury of Luther who was cut In t*he throat with p. knife.Davidson gave himself up to Officer McStravick and was taken before Judge Momyer who fined him $10 and costs.Reports of the fight indicate that it was rather a furious affair. Morris, Leo Colbert and F. Bettes, negroes, were arrested Saturday morning on the Katy right of way about a mile south of town by Offl-ercer McStravick for attempting to Work a confidence game.A Katy employe on. an incoming freight saw the negroes with their victim and notified the officer upon arrival in the city.The negroes had all sorts of phony checks, money. etc% They were fined by Judge Momyer In police court 1 his morning.The following persona were also fined by Judge Momyer: MansonJJlue.
