Twenty-one troopers of the second cavalry have deserted. The detachment of the Joodpore legion—fifty men—at this place have mutinied,and are supposed to have joined the Thakoor of Rowa, an outlawed chief, who is plundering villages and stealing cat tle in the Seroi country Mhow; and the Bhopal contingent has mutinied at Sehgre. Colonel Burard reports the whole of Western Mahwa to be in a very disturbed state, and that a large body of men are collected at Mundisore. _ With the exception of symptoms of disloyalty, immediately suppressed, in to territory of the Ra jah of Mundisore, tranquility has been preserved in Guzera t he mutiny in the 26th regiment has been sup pressed; thirty of the mutineers have been execu t, others are undergoing their trial. he headquarters of the regiment at Kholapore and the detachment at Rutnagherry have been dis armed. The detachment of European troops thrown into Rutnsgherry, Belgaum, Dasnear, and Sawant asree have preserved tranquility in these dis tricts.
