*Hydrophobia.-—1Tho-Roadihg Gazctto ipcntions a distressing case of hydrophobia as having occurred in that place last week. * On:tlic 27th of August last, a son of-Mr. William Yohn, a lad seven-years old,-was severely bitten by a dog belonging to Mr. Dan-fiel Engel, and supposed to. havo been rabid. No immediate bad effects followed upontbe-wound; it be-* #came healcd^and the boy was healthy, and went to school as usual, until Tuesday wcckTwhcn he complained of indisposition, which, however, excited no inpnediato alarm. .- But on Wednesday ho exhibited such .unequivocal symptoms of h}’drophobia as were not to bo mistaken* and at once pronounced such by his medical attendant. Spasmodic patoxysms occurred at’frcduent intervals, which were brouglit upon him, and increased ty every' effort* to driuk water,# ^ I ^ fand on*Friday morning ho expired.
