The win assures Prospect of second place in the standings going into theconference meet Saturday.Fremd whipped Palatine yesterday to maintain an un-» mlblemished dual meet record.Prospect has lost only once, to Fremd by one point in the first meet of the season, and the twowill have a showdown Saturday for the Mid-Suburban League crown at Prospect. The conferencemeet counts asmuch as conference standing in dual meets.FOREST VIEW is 18 forthe season, having beaten Glenbard North for its onlyvictory.The race yesterday was actually a double dual, withProspect beating Barringtonand Purest View while theFalcons lost to both varsity teams.theKeith Matthews was varsity winner in 15:01.6 and teammate Bill Allen ran second at 15:03. Al Morrissonpushed his mates all the wa around the course and endedup third in 15:12. Forest View's Bob Bell bested Prospect's Mark Tamsen for fourth in 15:23. and Falcon Kevin Sarni ran sixth in 15:29.Knight Tom Klinker was seventh, ahead of two Barrington boys. Pete Dumke ran 10thfor the Knights, but was Prospect's sixth man and finished eighth in the dual betweenProspect and Forest View.HENDERSONForest View ran 11th in 15:43 with teammate Al Schmanke running 14th in 15:55. Just sneaking in under 16 minutes were Knights Ron Hankel in 15th and Dan Young in 16th with 15:57 and 15:58 timings.Al Treece was 17th forProspect in 16:16 with Howie Larson one second behind.Falcon Ryan Maly was 21st in the meet in 16:32, and Doug Guinn ran 23d. Willie Mannof Prospect was 33d, Bob Strebler of Forest View 36thGrove JV’s and Larry Host of Forest ViewTLReese tor ninth. Mark Buett-ner of Prospect was 12th, Karl Prindow wa 14th and Falcon Melone was 15th. Prospects ke\m Wineinger raun rth and Bruce Lighthall of Forest View was 18th withteammate Mark Siekerman19th and Prospect’s Tony Bro-cato 20th.The Falcons also blasted the Knights on the freshman levelwith Barrington not fielding ateam. Rick Jensen won themeet in 11:35.2, followed byFalcons Brian Rothermel,John Kreutzer, Jim Black, Jerry Jones and Tracy Spiegler all placing ahead of first Knight Mark Turay who was seventh.The 15-49 Falcon win featured Dave Cimo in eighth,Prospect’s Don Burger in ninth, Falcons Ken Beach and J. Anderson in 10th an 11th and Prospect’s Clyde Peterson in 12th.CARL STRAUMANN ofForest View was 13th with Knight Don Grandt 14th and Falcons Mike Holzer, M.
