Bennett and his brother Clyde. At that timethe store remained til 3 p.m.In 1351 the Bennettmodernized Hie store; they did away with the drug store, sodafountain and lunch counter. The) kn /iked out the partitionbetween the two businesses andmade one big store out of thewhole building.They installed self-service counters and shelves and setup central checking stands. By doing so, they cut /perating expenses by about 401.The store now stocks all nationally advertised food products and features the famous BAR S line of meats.
