Miss Louisa Weckesser, fourth grade teacher, spent Saturday and Sunday with her parents at Doylestown. Three new pupils enrolled last week—Mary Yagey, Junior; Curzen Poposic, second grade; Mary Burk holder, second grade. We believe. we have as good a playground equipment as you will find in many ,larger towne—2 bas ketball ground for the larger girls, a hall diamond for the boys, an elevated wheel with ropes for the intermediate pupils, a see-saw for the primary children and two swings for the little girls. With the proper kind of play the minds kept active and free from bad thoughts which are sure to come if right kind of physical exercises not provided. The article which appeared in The Press several weeks ago on “A Public Library” is producing fruit in our schools, as Mr Elmer Dula bahn, Grammar grade teacher, has organized a reading club at Bethel View and has received fifty vol umes from the circulating library at Columbus. The proper blanks have been filled and returned for securing 150 volumes for use in our schools. The High School boys met the Doylestown boys on their field Fri day afternoon and played a nice game of baseball, although being defeated 7 to 4. The rural schools are progressing nicely under the following teachers: No. 2, Emanuel Meyer, 25 pupils No. 4, Raymond Rich 15 pupils: No. 5, Olga Brillhart, 23 pupils No. 6, Ora Leichty 25 pupils, No. 7, Glenn King 23 pupils, |No. 8, Elmer Meyer 12 pupils, | No. 9, Claire Maine 18 pupils, | No. 10, Willard Plough 23 pupils. Rev. Hobart led the devotional exercises in the High School Mon day morning and spoke on the value of the dictionary. J.B Lambert, our janitor, has the thanks of all connected with the school for his work ina making our playground equipment Mrs. Guy Callahan and Mrs. H. Hull spent Friday afternoon visit ing our schools. All parents are most cordially in vited to visit our schools. The teachers in our schools met in the recitation room Tuesday evening to discuss general school work, and to take up the definite study of “The Teacher” by Milner. W. C. T. U. The W.C.T U. met last evening at the home of Mrs. H. Hull with about 20 members present. The meeting opened with the song, Qur W. C. T. U. Prayer by Mrs. Hickin. The love offering netted 7 Scents. Music was furnished by the orchestra. Papers were read by Mrs. Hull, Mrs. Toland and Mrs Habis. Recitations by Mrs. Rabey, and Mrs. Harpster. Piano solo by Miss Ruth Hull. Duet by Mrs. Callahan and Miss Holderbaum, concluding with a talk by Mra Clouse. The next meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Harpster
