Hargrove of Spur called to tell me I was mistaken, that her daugh ter Georgia, who passed away a few years ago, was the first. Her birthday was June 25th, 1910. Mr. Hargrove was Gir ard’s first depot agent, first feeling well. They also stopped in Snyder and visited Mrs. D. J. Young who is reported to be feeling some better. Mrs. Kenneth Wallace’s baby spent some time recently with her sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Wilson and children. Little Penny Gregory has been on the sick list last week with a sore throat but is now feeling fine. Mrs. Earl Hahn, Mrs. Nor man Hahn and girls, Jayton, had business in Abilene last Thursday. Rance Gregory and children enjoyed a fish fry in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Wright Friday night. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Stiles had as dinner guests in their home Tuesday, her nice, Mrs. Lillie Renfroe and son, Mr. and Mrs. Troy Renfroe, Bor ger. They had been visiting relatives in Post and Jayton. Mr. and Mrs. Doug Graves and daughter, Mrs. Buddy Page, Anonia, visited last week with Mr. Red. Cooper and daughters, Mr. ‘and Mrs.‘ Mar vin “Coats who are ‘spending some time with Mr. Cooper, Snyder Friday evening, visited Mrs. Sandlins’ and brought home a lot of green beans and corn. Mrs. Jimmie Hahn and her grandchildren, Douglas and Shelia Hahn, Spur, were din ner guests in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Wright and girls Sunday. Recent guests in the home of Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Perry were their sister-in-law, Mrs. Meda Perry, Lovington, N.M.; Mrs. _ Shirley* Marshall and children, Lubbock, Mr. and Mrs. John Willis o, Thursday. Sunday ‘guests in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Kil visted in Golden Pead: day in the home of Mr. Mrs. Lowel Roberson and his mother, Mr. and Mrs. R. N. Clark, Oklahoma. Mr. Ernie Joe Hodges, Cole man, came by Thursday for his father, Mr. Woodrow Hod ges, then stopped in Floydada for Ray Don and the three enjoyed the day in Amarillo. Mrs. J. A. Murphy return ed home with her daughter, Mrs. Ted Fourgerson where she will spend several days. Sorry to report Jim Porter field received a broken arm in a fall from a see-saw at school. His condition is good. His father is pastor of the First Baptist Church here.
