The Skylight Room at the’ YWCA was the setting for the son to honor Camp Fire Girls that were recently install ed in the Junior Hi program of Camp Fire Girls. ‘ The 45 girls and mothers at tending were greeted by a re ceiving line composed of Na tional Council Member, Mrs. Harold Marshall, Council Presi dent, Mrs. John Van Gundy and Camp Fire Guardians Mrs. James Cave, Mrs. Sam Foltz, Mrs. Kenneth Robb and Mrs. John Schwartz. Candy Neff served as mis tress of ceremonies and was in charge of the seating arrange ments assisted by Susie Mow ery. A delightful and impressive installation ceremonial, featur ing the new Group Torch Bear ers seven areas of activity, was planned by the Ka Da Ta Wa Junior Hi Girls who have as their Advisor, Mrs. Fred Larg er. Mrs. Marshall talked to the girls on the new program level. Guests included Mrs. John Smith, a former Blue Bird lead er, and Camp Fire guardian, who is now serving on the Pro gram Committee and presently working closely with the girls interested in Torch Heater Ranks. Mrs. Marshall Hamil ton, Home Economics teacher talked with the girls presently interested in Torch Bearer in Cooking. Other invited guests included Mrs. William Wyman, Junior Hi. Cabinet Advisor and camp ing enthusiasts, Mrs. Stella Whittington, specialist in horse manship, Mrs. Gerald Wright, specialist in gardener, Mrs. James Snake, specialist in read ing, Mrs. E. G. Clark, special ist in religious growth and Mrs. Paul Weiland specialist in horsemanship. Girls installed were: Mary Beth Ames, Diane Cave, Mari lyn Messerly, Carolyn Sue Mow ery, Candy Neff, Marcelle Nel son, Cynthia Rose, Pat Buck, Diane Shaw, Sue Ann Stokes, Pamela Townsend, Melinda Wil liams, Peggy Arnold, Christy Campbell, Debra Fauble, San dra Foltz, Susan Molar, Linda Seeley, Deborah Thomas, Su zanne Krape, Mary Ann Acton, Linda Benca, Sally Glockner, Susan Jons, Kristi Robb, Linda Sandor, Debbie Alley, Bonnie Byers, Marilyn Roush, Sharon Schwartz, Becky Snake, Kathy Van Gundy, Diane Wilson and Carole Wright. The guests were Invited to the refreshment table decorated with a centerpiece of a replica of nature’s own bee-hive. Bees covered the hive and were later given to the girls as favors. Cookies and punch were served by Mrs. T. G. Rose assisted by Debbie Alley, Diane Shaw, Susan Krapf and Krist! Robb. GA KI KA ZU CAMP FIRE GROUP The Ga Ki Ka Zu Camp Fire Group from St. Mary School held a ceremonial at the home of their former leader Mrs. Paul Wieland. The girls re ceived many honor beads for projects accomplished and. Transekers certificates were presented to Lynn McNamara, Angela Robb, Suzy Wieland, Lisa Macioci, Rose Ann Smith, and Patty Levacy. During one meeting the girls planned a menu and the follow ing meeting they prepared a meal for themselves. This is a requirement for Firemakers Bank which they are presently working for. Mrs. Jon Slater, former Camp Fire Girl is the new guardian of the group. BUSY BEE BLUE BIRDS The Busy Bee Blue Birds are a new group just organized from East School. During the past month they chose their name, made “‘sit-upons’” and learned the correct way to sit at a council fire. They also have been learning songs and games. Officers presently serving the group are Susan Lambert, pres ident and Cynthia Miller, secre tary and treasurer. The group holds their weekly meetings at the home of Jane Taylor. Lead er of the group is Mrs. Leo Kessler, assisted by Mrs. James Biggerstaff. Sponsors for the group are Mrs. James Lambert and Mrs., David Miller. Other members of the group are: Susan Bigger staff, Cynthia DeLong, Lee Ann Foltz and Cynthia Householder.
