Airport Bids Up To Councili Bins I soeciflcations andproposals from two bid-ders*t?r operation and management of the new Arlington Municipal Airport are scheduled to be presented to the City Council Tuesday.City Manager Bill Pitstick, in the preliminary agenda, stated that the city has received two satisfactory bids relative to the operation and management of the airport from Arlington Executive Air, Inc., and Airmotive Associates.pitstick called the Arlington Executive Air bid ‘Very satisfactory.** A partnership of Rex Snell, who lives in A r-lington, and fcdward W.VVary-nick, from Fort Worth, submitted the bid for Airmotive Associates.Snell told the News Texan that yMrmotives has taken several exceptions to the original specifications and added that he was surprised that there were only two bids submitted. He declined to mention what his bid was.The city originally sent out about 30 # specifications to prospective bidders. Bids were closed last Wednesday at 10 a.m.Pitstick emphasized last Friday that there is no defin-ate date set for the opening of the airport. He said, however, is expected to be in operation sometimebeforethe end of the year.The airport operator will be required to provide qualified administrative management, and necessary maintenance. The operator will also construct T-hanears for aircraft storage, a combined maintenance and storage hangar and provide services lor users._
