Ho named over the witnesses for the state and they included nearly all the cowboys who were in the employ of the Seiber cattle company, many of whom witnessed the shooting. Among the number were Ex-SherilT Wallis, Jud Deacon. Roy Dunning, Jamos Jones, Grin Gavin and Emory Knowles.The defendant’s principal attorney James S. Carnahan after the statement of the prosecution waived a tsatement for the defense. The selection of a jury then began.This will be doubtless a very tedi» ous operation. * Every possible point which might llisqualify a juror is asked him by counsel, both for the prosecution and defense. The answers thereto are sometimes serious and at other times funny and again ridiculous.At noon, when court adjourned the jury had not then been secuerd.
