Jack s is a four-legged tramp of the genus canine and lie fares better thnn the two-legged members of the bum order. He always travels with the express messenger or baggagemaster and as far as known has never found it necessary to go to a back door and bflrk Cor a handout. In fact he has always found plenty of men to furnish him a good feed aud he probably fares better than respectable dogs who stay at home aud ol]ev their master. He is everybody's friendbut tnkes to railroad men in particular. He is famous among the railroadmen nil over the country and has been from Portland, Me., to San Francisco and hundreds of cities in the country. Around his neck was a string of tags that looked like a feather boa. Each of these cards recorded some trip be had taken at different) times and were from nearly every railroad in the country. The dog is perfectly at borne Ln a baggage car and is not a bit exacting as lu which car he is in or what road he is on. After he gets to New Orleans he will at once be started out on another route,
