Elliott appearing for the people and Jos. F. Eice and Att’y Donnelly, of Glean, for the prisoner. The trial lasted until 8 o’clock last evening, when the attorneys summed up and the ease was submitted to the jury. The jury was out but ashort, time before they returned averdict of guilty. Esq. Hewittsentenced the prisoner to the eonnfy jail for a period of twenty days and to pay a fine of $50, tostand committed until the line is, - . . ^paid.
