He was shot in the abdomen, the ball (asaing through and lodging in the spine. Taylor is a quiet and respected citizen ol Robertson. Workman and (our others, whose names are unknown, broke into his house the night o( the trouble, jpst (or what purpose has not been (ound out. When Taylor waa aroused by the noise, he seired bisaliot-gun. and tired at Workman, the only one oI the crowd in sight. Immediately afterwards, one o( the Workman gang tired at Taylor from another quarter with the result as above stated. Taylor’s neighbors are greatly incensed over the affair, and are leaving nothing undone to bring the guilty parties to punishment.
