Barr, late pur-chasing agent for the Burlington Missouri River railroad, with beadgualters at Omaha, arrived at the Hot Springs to assume the management of the Montezuma. Mr. W. B. Hamblin, who has been the manager of the liouae since last March, has resigned to take a much bettor position with the Santa Fe, and it is whispered that ho gees to Hermo-sillo to become assistant general manager of the Sonora railway, a place made vacant by the recent death of Thomas J. Seely. During Mr. Hamblin's management the Montezuma has gained steadily in popularity and the gentleman m ehargu has added greatly ta his list of personal triends. Mr. Barr, the coming man, and who goes on duty tomorrow, is comparatively a young man and comes with every assurauce of succeeding in his new undertaking. Ilo has been idcntilied with railroads eyer since ho became a man, and is known as a strictly business gentlemen, with broad views and an oxtensivc experience with western people, the class among whom ho now finds himself. It is with the warmest welcomo that wo greet Mr. Barr, and with the deepest regret that we see Mr. Hamblin depart to another field of usefulness.SIMPLE SPUTTER.
