G. M. Brown 8on, of Ijamsville. who run a tile mill, have discovered a fine bed of clay on their property from which they have made a number of sample bricks and left at different places about the city. The bricks are nearly white and appear to be very bard. If pressed, they would of course be much finer. They have the appearance of marble, when cut open with a knife, while yet soft. There is no certainty as yet as to the extent of the clay deposit. If ex* tensive, a fortune probably lies in the grasp of the Messrs. Brown. The brick will sell readily at $12 per thousand.— Wabash Plain* dealer.
