Jewell Ellis Rites Held On TuesdayFuneral services for Mrs. John L. Ellis, 84, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday In the Reed Church of Christ with J.V. McElroy, minister of the Blair Church of Christ, and Norman Easter of the Mangum Church officiating.Buria! was in Cave Creek Cemetery, Vinson, under the direction of Greer Funeral Home.Jewell Ellis was born Aug, 4, 1893 in White-wrlght, Tex., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Josh Ingram, and was married to John 1. EitfsMay 20, 1911. They came to his home near Reed soon after the wedding and lived in this area from that time. Ellis died in June 1964 and Mrs. Ellis moved to Mangum In January 1972. For several years she was active In the White Flat Farm Women's Club and was a member of the Church of Christ in Reed.Following an illness of five months, Mrs. Ellis died Saturday afternoon, Oct. 8, In the Mangum hospital.Surviving are her dau-ghter-in-law, Mrs. Mose Ellis; twelve grandchildren; a number of great grandchildren and one brother, Virgil Ingram, Wichita Falls. Tex.
