112th Court Jury Awards $3,000 In Accident CaseA Fort Stockton man was awarded approximately $3,000 as the plaintiff in a workmen's condensation case concludedlate Tuesday night In 112th District Court.Jury lr the case began deliberations at about 8 p.m. Tuesday and returned a ruling in favor of the plaintiff, Patrick Dale, about 9:30 p.m. the same night. He was awarded 104 weeks of condensation at $35 per week.Foreman of the Jury was John Koiveton of Bakersfield.The case, styled Patrick Dale vs. North River Insurance Company, entered testimony here Monday liefore Judge Charles E. Sherrill.Dale, the plaintiff, was seeking $14,035 forwork-time lost and medical exjienses incurred as the result of an accident May 23, 1967.Testimony revealed that Dale was employed by Beacon Truck Stop, Inc., at the timeof the accident, had climtiedatop a ladder to wash the windshield of a truck. He reportedly fell from the ladder, was knocked unconscious, and sustained severe back, neck, and general I tody injuries.The workmen’s compensation case reached the court here after Dale declined toaccept a compensation awardrendered by the Texas Industrial Accident Board.Representing North River In the case was Charles Jones of El Paso. Tom Sneed of Odessa represented Dale.Testimony of some six witnesses in the case got underway Monday afternoon, was resumed on Tuesday morning and during early afternoon hours, and went to the jury late Tuesday.Serving on the jury were Pat Armstrong Jr., Mrs. Allen Bergmann both of Fort Stockton, Mrs. Clifford Boone of Iraan, John Kniveton of Bakersfield, Mrs. T.W.
