Grant Jackson, 28, of 4841 S. 21st St. began a 6-month jail sentence for the traffic death last July 15 of Alex Andy, 57, Jackson’s automobile struck and killed Andy as he stepped off the curbing at 13th Street and Washington. Witnesses said the car was traveling 60 to 70 mph. Attorney Thomas J. Croaff, Jr. reminded Superior Court Judge Laurens L. Henderson that Jack son, father of seven children, was sober at the time of the accident. ‘But we do have a death, and we do have excessive speed,’’ noted the judge. Andy resided at 118 S.
